Christmas and New Years!

Hey y’all,
How was your Christmas?
We didn’t get any snow which was really sad 😢, instead we got rain.
On Christmas Eve my family and I went to my Dads brothers house and ate food and hung out.
What are your Christmas traditions?

Blogging and me?

Hey guys, I’m sure you have all noticed that I’m really bad at posting regularly on here. I am sorry, it’s just hard when I’m not good at typing nice long posts and finding things to post about. Also, I’m not one to stay motivated for very long. But, I now am going to post at least once a month, and if I’m not posting often, PLEASE TELL ME!! I will try to post twice a month, but for sure at least once a month.
Thanksgiving is just around the corner!! This is probably my favorite holiday. Something I’m thankful for is my bed and the warmth of the camper I currently live in. Thanksgiving is not just a time to eat food and be thankful, it’s a time to share your blessings with others. And I’m not saying you have to volunteer at a homeless shelter or a nursing home ( although those are good thing to do), I’m saying that even the small things like helping your siblings with their school, or spending time with your mom or dad could be just as big as a blessing to someone else as the big things. Thanksgiving is a time to share and be thankful. The pilgrims were thankful towards the Indians who saved them from starving by showing them how to grow food and how to hunt and stay warm by building houses. They are the reason we have thanksgiving, because someone showed kindness and love towards them when they needed help, we ought to do the same as the Indians.
What is something someone did for you that meant a lot to you? Could you do the same for them?

Camp life.
Living at a camp is not what I expected it to be like. I thought much more would be happening and people would always be doing stuff. But it’s not really like that. It’s more like every once in a while there will be a rental for the weekend, and so you’ll be busy cleaning the bathrooms or cooking their food. Then once the weekend is over the camp seems empty. And on top of that, I’m homeschooled which means I’m not around people as often. WHICH IM NOT COMPLAINING ABOUT! I’m simply saying that camp life is not as crazy as everyone thinks. It’s kind of relaxing. And sense my best friend is the directors daughter I get to see her all the time. Plus, we have three interns currently, which is really cool. So, life at camp is still pretty awesome, even though it’s not as busy as I thought. That is until camp season is here, then it’ll be so busy getting ready for an epic summer of fun!

I have finished drivers Ed, and I have my permit! I love driving!

I’m back!!!!!

Hey everyone! It’s been like three months since I’ve posted on here!
So much has happened this summer, good and bad, happy and sad. To start off, I missed you guys and I’m glad to be back.

 A recap on my summer:
I was camper for five weeks, then I cabin lead for one.
I made lots more friends, and reconnected with old friends.
Our house sold on August first.
We signed the papers for our house on the Fourth of July.
We bought our new property and we’ve already started clearing the building site.
My mom might get a horse.
I’m going to start driving soon.
I saw lives change over the summer.
I’ve learned a lot.

And that’s basically it. What did you guys do for your summer??

Also, my brother just made a website for his photography, you should check it out Here.

What do you think??

What do you think about the title? I figured it would fit me better, seeing as I’m going to be one in hopefully less than a month. And it is way shorter than the last one.

I don’t have a car for the week this week. Because it has been so crazy lately. I just finished my first week of tech week, for the play I’m in. And that is very exhausting, so sorry about the late post.

QUESTION OF THE WEEK:
What is your favorite book??

VERSE OF THE DAY:
“who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was granted us in Christ Jesus from all eternity,”
‭‭2 Timothy 1:9‬ ‭NASB‬‬

AN UPDATE:
In two weeks I will be going to camp, and I’ll be there for three  to four weeks. Which means I will not be able to post during that time. But I might have a chance one of those days, the day I get home. So, I might be up for that and I might not. I just wanted to let y’all know ahead of time.
Also, my house is officially on the market and we might have a buyer tomorrow, so please be praying!

HORSE OF THE MONTH!

Arabians!!!

"The Arabian or Arab horse is a breed of horse that originated on the Arabian Peninsula. With a distinctive head shape and high tail carriage, the Arabian is one of the most easily recognizable horse breeds in the world. It is also one of the oldest breeds, with archaeological evidence of horses in the Middle East that resemble modern Arabians dating back 4,500 years. Throughout history, Arabian horses have spread around the world by both war and trade, used to improve other breeds by adding speed, refinement, endurance, and strong bone. Today, Arabian bloodlines are found in almost every modern breed of riding horse.
The Arabian developed in a desert climate and was prized by the nomadic Bedouin people, often being brought inside the family tent for shelter and protection from theft. Selective breeding for traits including an ability to form a cooperative relationship with humans created a horse breed that is good-natured, quick to learn, and willing to please. The Arabian also developed the high spirit and alertness needed in a horse used for raiding and war. This combination of willingness and sensitivity requires modern Arabian horse owners to handle their horses with competence and respect. they average in height between 14.1 to 15.1 hands."  -Wikipedia

HOW ABOUT CHEVYS??

HEY Ya'll!
If you noticed the title, then you know which kind of vehicle I'll be doing. CHEVY'S!!!!
Also, sorry about such a late weekly post. It has been a crazy week.
Anyways, lets get started.

THE VERSE OF THE DAY:
As for a person who stirs up division, after warning him once and then twice,
have nothing to do with him,  -Titus 3:10

Interesting verse, isn't it?

QUESTION OF THE WEEK:
What is one thing that you look forward to doing this summer?

And last but not least....
THE CAR OF THE WEEK!
The Chevy Silverado. These were introduced in 1998 under the General Auto Motors, which also makes the GMC sierra, which is the cousin of the Silverado. There are two official versions: the HD, and just plain Silverado. the Silverado HD is a more fancier version of the Silverado. Over 585,581 Silverados have been sold in the U.S.A. There are four generations and I'll go through them just like last week.
FIRST GENERATION: 1999-2007
"The GMT800 Silverado/Sierra 1500 and 2500 (non Heavy Duty) (light pickup trucks) were released in August 1998 as 1999 models. The "classic" light-duty GMT400 C/K trucks were continued in production for that first year alongside the new models, and the Heavy-Duty GMT400 pickups (alongside the GMT400 SUVs) were continued until 2000, with the new GMT800 Silverado/Sierra HD (Heavy Duty) released a year later. A small refresh for 2003 models was introduced in 2002, bringing slight design changes and an upgrade to the audio and HVAC controls. The latter 2006 and 2007 GMT800 production units used the name Classic to denote the difference between the first and second generation trucks."
-Wikipedia
There are a number of models of light-duty Silverados and Sierras, including the half-ton, SS, and Hybrid. The light-duty trucks use the 1500 name. They are available in three cab lengths, 2-door standard/regular cab, 3 or 4-door extended cab, and front-hinged 4-door crew cab. Three cargo beds are available: a 69.2 in (1,758 mm) short box, 78.7 in (1,999 mm) standard box, and a 97.6 in (2,479 mm) long box. The crew cab is only available with the short box.For the first year, only the regular cab and a 3-door extended cab were available, along with the Vortec 4300 V6, Vortec 4800 V8, and the Vortec 5300 V8. In 2000, a driver's side door option became available for the extended cab, giving it four doors, and the crew-cab body was added to the lineup in 2004. Output on the 5.3 L engine also increased to 285 hp (213 kW) and 325 lb⋅ft (441 N⋅m)."  - Wikipedia

SECOND GENERATION: 2007-2014
"The all-new GMT900 generation of the Silverado/Sierra arrived in the last quarter of 2006 as a 2007 model. It features a redesigned exterior, interior, frame, and suspension as well as power increases on certain engines. It takes styling cues from the 2007 GMT900 SUVs and the Chevrolet Colorado pickups. Like the GMT900 SUVs, these pickups also have greatly improved aerodynamics over their predecessors like steeply raked windshields and tighter panel gaps which improve fuel economy. The GMT800 models were continued through 2007 badged as "Classic", just as the GMT400 models continued for two years after the GMT800's introduction.
The new Silverado earned the North American Truck of the Year award for 2007 and was Motor Trend magazine's Truck of the Yearfor 2007. Like its predecessors, the new Silverado offers buyers a choice of two door regular cabs, four door extended cabs (with rear doors that now open 170 degrees similar to the Nissan Titan) and four door crew cabs with the rear doors opening in the same direction as the front doors. GM also offers the trucks in the traditional two and four wheel drive configurations." -Wikipedia
THIRD GENERATION: 2014-2019
(2015) "For the 2015 model year, the 6.2L Ecotec3 was paired with the new 8-speed 8L90 transmission, offering a wider ratio spread with more closely spaced gears, quicker shifts, and improved acceleration and fuel economy.[29] The Silverado 2500/3500 HD models continue to use the 6.0L L96 flex fuel capable Vortec engine combined with the 6l90e transmission, installed with engine oil and transmission fluid coolers for hauling/towing applications"  For 2016, the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 received its first mid-cycle refresh. The refreshed Silverado and Sierra received a new grille, new headlights and new front fascia, with design influences from the 2015 Chevrolet Colorado, as well as all new LED tail lights on the 2016 Silverado LTZ, HIGH COUNTRY, 2016 GMC Sierra SLT and DENALI trim levels while the 2016 Chevy Silverado LT trim levels and below still have the pre-facelifted taillights along with the 2016 GMC Sierra SLE trim levels and below. On October 1, 2015, HD Radio was added to the Silverado, Sierra, and their HD level models. The Silverado/Silverado HD will add HD Radio to their 8-inch MyLink system as a standard on the LT and LTZ trims, while the Sierra/Sierra HD will include the feature in its IntelliLink system as a standard on all its trims. 2016 Silverado and Sierra models optioned with the 8-inch touch screen feature Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability. Trucks ordered with bucket seats and center console now feature a wireless charging pad on the console lid.[32]" -WIKIPEDIA
"For the 2017 model year, Silverado and Sierra HD models equipped with the 6.6L Duramax Turbo Diesel V8 (L5P) received a new front hood with air intake vents. Gasoline-powered models now have a capless fuel fill. Sierra HD now features standard HID headlamps on all trim levels. New colors include Graphite Metallic and Pepperdust Metallic (Chevrolet) or Dark Slate Metallic and Pepperdust Metallic (GMC). Jet Black/Medium Ash Gray interior trim is added for Silverado High Country. Low-Speed Mitigation Braking is added to the Driver Alert Package for both Silverado and Sierra.[33]" -WIKIPEDIA
FOURTH GENERATION: 2019-PRESENT
"The model shown at the reveal was the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LT Trail Boss 4X4, which is a factory-modified version of the Silverado 1500 LT Z71. Distinguishing features of the Trail Boss from other Silverado 1500 trim levels are its gloss black front fascia, black rear step bumper, black Chevrolet "bow-tie" emblems on the front grille and rear tailgate, gloss black-finished aluminum-alloy wheels, large off-road tires, altered suspension, "Trail Boss" decals on the sides of the pickup box, front bumper-mounted center fog lamps, "Z71" emblems on each front fender, and red-painted front tow hooks." -WIKIPEDIA

What's Up!

HEY!!!

Okay, my post for the week!
I will try and post pictures this Saturday, but I'm going to a birthday party.
I'm going to be changing the name of my blog! I'm super excited about it.
I think it's kinda long right now, so it will be something shorter.

Here's my question for you!
What would you do if  you had to move from everything you knew, to your Great Aunt and Uncles, and they had no running water, pluming, power, WiFi, internet, or cars, because your house burned down and your parents couldn't afford to feed and clothe you?

CAR OF THE DAY!

The Ford Focus!
Most people don't like Fords, and I am one of them. but I promise that I will not be biased, and just give the facts. After the facts I might give my opinion though. I'm totally open for discussion in the comments!
The Ford Focus was produced in 1998, so it's not to old. There are four different generations: The first generation was from 1998-2004, second 2004-2011, third 2011-2018, and the fourth generation 2018-present. This car was  the replacement for the Ford Escort. there are different styles of the Focus, so as: the hatchback, saloon/sedan, wagon, estate, and the coupe.

THE FIRST GENERATION---
"Ford of North America began marketing the Focus in September 1999 for the 2000 model year, with some changes from the European version. The car was launched as a three-door hatchback, four-door saloon, and five-door wagon; a five-door hatchback debuted in 2001."-Wikipedia.
The first generation looks like this:
Image result for FOrd focus 1998-2004 (picture of of en.wikipedia.org)

THE SECOND GENERATION---
"The Focus Mk 2 is larger and considerably heavier than its predecessor: it has a 25 mm (0.98 in) increase in wheelbase, and is 168 mm (6.6 in) longer, 8 mm (0.31 in) taller, and 138 mm (5.4 in) wider. As a result, the interior and boot space have increased. New technologies include a KeyFree system, a solar-reflect windshield, adaptive front lighting, Bluetooth hands-free phones and voice control for audio, telephone, and climate control systems. Since debuting at the 2007 North American International Auto Show, the restyled 2008–2011 generation was available as a two-door coupe and four-door saloon; the hatchbacks and wagon were discontinued. The interior was redesigned, including new seats, a new dashboard design with message center on top of the dashboard, ambient lighting, dashboard panels that simulate brushed aluminum, and Ford's voice-controlled Sync audio/Bluetooth system. Also included in the redesign was a support beam behind the dashboard for extra structural rigidity." -Wikipedia.
The second generation looks like this:

(this picture came from www.reliabilityindex.com)

THIRD GENERATION---
Ford previewed the third generation facelifted model at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show.[15] The updated version features a new redesigned front end design, incorporating Ford's new family grille and slimline headlights. The sporty ST and an RS model (now sold globally)—which features an upgraded version of the 2.3-litre engine from the Ford Mustang—will continue Ford's performance range. The RS now has all-wheel drive."-Wikipedia

THE FOURTH GENERTAION---
"On April 10, 2018, Ford unveiled the European and Asian-market versions of the fourth-generation Focus, to mark the brand's 20th anniversary. As in the previous generation, the model is available with sedan, hatchback and estate bodystyles.
The exterior features a sportier design, while Ford described its interior as being simpler. The company also emphasized technology featured in the new model, including the Sync 3 infotainment system, FordPass Connect, and the CoPilot360 driver assistance suite."-Wikipedia

Any suggestions for next weeks car/truck?

Faith????????

FAITH

Faith. What does that mean? How can we find the meaning? Is it important? Where did the word come from? Let's talk about it.

Let's start with "what is faith?"
Hebrews 11:1 says "Now faith is the substance for things hoped for, the evidence not seen."
(KNJV) This verse tells us exactly what faith is. here's some other definitions: Faith- Noun. confidence or trust in a person or thing , belief that is not based on proof.

When you believe in something unseen, you have faith in it. I'm not talking about faith that
the football team will win the next game, or that your friend will make it to your birthday party, I'm talking about trusting in something (God) that has higher power than us.

let's move on to the next question, "Is it important?"
Yes, faith is important! I don't think much would be done if we didn't have faith.
There would probably be no religion, of any kind of without faith. I man even atheism, atheists, they have faith in what? I guess the brief version is in the universe or the earth and surrounding areas.
Christianity, we have faith in God. Catholicism, they have faith in their priest, God, Mary and the Saints. and the list goes on. But my point is, is that we need faith and it's important, to God and people.
The word faith is mentioned 378 times in the NASB Bible, 458 times in the NKJV, and 521 in the GNB. let's just say God really thinks it's important!

Next question, "Where did the word come from?"
The word "faith" came from the Anglo-French and Old French, feid, foi, from the Latin fides, "Trust, faith, confidence, reliance, and  belief," from the root of fidere "to trust".
Even by seeing where it came from we learn what it is. Anglo-French is spoken in Great Briton, and Ireland. Anglo, Specifically refers to England, not the United Kingdom as a whole.
But it is known to as both.

Last questions, "how can I get faith?" and "How do I live by faith?"
In order to get faith, you must believe that God is the saver of sinners, and trusting him with your life.
Romans 10:17 says, " So then Faith comes from hearing, ans hearing by the word of God. (NKJV).
Faith comes with believing. You can't have faith without hearing God's word, and believing it.
They go hand in hand, like peanut butter and jelly.
We live by faith through our actions. If we want to have strong faith we need to be closer
to God. We can do that by spending time with him, reading his word the Bible, praising him and praying. Trust God with your life, and let him have control over everything. That's  how we live by faith.

If you read these verses they will tell you about some people in the bible who lived by faith.
Romans 14:22,23  Galatians 3:5,9  Philemon 6  2 Timothy 1:5,13  Hebrews 11:30-40

These also talk about faith.
 Ephesians 4:4-6  Mark 11:22   Acts 16:5   Romans 5:1  Romans 10:17

Concrete anybody?

I had this post ready a few weeks ago, but the pictures weren't working and I forgot about it.
Have you have done concrete? Have you ever seen it being poured? Well I have. Since my dad is a contractor us kids get to go with him to work sometimes and help. April 29,  he was pouring concrete and it was only me, dad, mom and the owner. My brother would have been there but has just had surgery. Anyways I got to do most of it. All the different steps, and my dad never mentioned anything, which means I did it right . Here’s some pictures.

sorry for this weird setup, like I said the pictures weren't listening.

An update

Wow, It's been, What? about two weeks since I've posted? I'M SO SORRY GUYS!!!
I've been crazy busy, with so many small, random things.
And I've kinda lost motivation over the last week and a half. But I'm trying to find it again. That motivation.. always running away from me. 😂

I have something to tell y'all....
I will not be able to post that often anymore, because summer is coming.
For most of the summer I don't have access to wifi, because I'm at camp, either serving or as a camper. That will be for at least five weeks out of the summer of no posts from me.

But as for the time being, until that summer business kicks in, I will post once a week.
I'm gonna give you a clue for what I'm going to post about next week.....
It's something that I was asked to post about by a certain  young lady, who reads this blog.

And now for my other plans for this blog.
Give me your thoughts on each of the ideas.
Example: "On (1.) I think if you did this.... others would enjoy it more."
Does that makes sense?
Okay, here's the list.

1. Horse breed of the month.
2. A food post every other week, plus the once a week post.
3. photo Saturday.
4. A question from me to you, on the once a week post.
5. car facts, also on the once a week post.
