Life Update!!

 Hey guys,

its been a few months since I have posted on either of my blogs. Life has gotten really overwhelming and busy this year, so I'll make some main points.

  • I turned Seventeen in February
  • I am over halfway done with my first year of college
  • I have figured out I am not a 4.0 college student
  • I have reached out to my biological Dad, and we are now talking
  • I decided to go to Emmaus during 2022-23 school year after I graduate
  • I am looking for a new job, one that I will hopefully be able to have thought out the summer and next school year
  • I will not be going back to Centralia college next school year, but rather do my senior year at home and learn some life skills such as how to rent a house, file taxes, find good insurance etc.
The camp I live at in Brooklyn Washington will be fully open this year, and we have a semi new week long camp, which is SO exciting!!!! Camp will be starting the last week of the month! anyone who is near or in Washington should check out the camp!

last year and this year I have been doing a lot of reading, last year I read 192 books, most of them were over 800 pages long. that being said, I thought I would share some with you! if you have any questions, just ask away!!
Beyonders Trilogy, by Brandon Mull. Super good books.
 Ages 10+
I say that age just because of the reading level, its totally fine for younger kids to listen to.

Wars of the realm, by Chuck black. Thi is my Absolute favorite Trilogy
Ages 12+
twelve might be a little young, just because this book can be a little intense, but it is sooo good!!

Brotherband Chronicles, by John Flanagan
Ages 11+
great books, written by the same guy who wrote Rangers Apprentice. His series' overlap which is really cool

High Hurdles, by Laurine Snelling
Ages 12+
This is a more real-life based series, with good messages. lots of horse stuff

Keeper of the Lost Cities, by Shannon Messenger
Ages 10+
This is my current favorite series. IT IS SOOOOO GOOD! action packed, easy to read, but still exciting. lots of detail

Dreamhouse kings, Robert Liparulo
Ages 10+
younger kids would enjoy listening, but they might get scared. these books are a lot like Frank Petretti books, but in my opinion they are much better.

Maze Runner, by James Dashner
Ages 14+
these books are more intense, some kissing and swearing, overall they are good. but I personally wouldn't really recommend until you are 15 or 16

Hagenheim series, Melanie Dickerson
14+
these are Christian romance. I would say more Christian than romance, but it has too much romance to say it wasn't a romance. This series are the classic princess stories reimagined

There are many more... too many to name on here. But if you are curious on what the others are, or want more details on the ones I did name, just ask. my email and Instagram are on my "About Me" page.

Happy November ya'll!

Well, Thanksgiving is coming up, it's fall, and it's been raining like crazy.
Heres a little update on my life.
So at the beginning of September I went with my friends to visit their family in South Carolina, we were there for two weeks. When we got home college started, and so did the cold weather. This is my first year in running start. For those of you who don't know what that is, it is basiclly extra college for those who are still in high school or those who haven't gotten their high school diploma. A few weeks ago I started my first job at the collge childcare place, and yesterday I went into centerville, which is a wetren store in my town, to try and get a second job becasue driving over 40 miles a day in a truck gets expensive after a while. at the beginning of the year I made a goal to read 115 books this year, I'm currently at 80, I fell behind because a lot happened this summer, so hopefully I will be able to catch up, and maybe even go over my goal. If any of you know of books under 400 pages, please tell me in the comments! well, that's about all I have, have a good month, stay warm, power through school, and don't forget about Veterans Day on wednesday!!

NEW BLOG

I'm sure you read in my last post that I was starting a new blog, well here's the link! Be a Light in the Darkness. I will probably still post on this account every once and a while, even though I said I was deleting it. I will just be focusing my attention on my other blog. Again, thank you all for sticking with me. Please go follow my new blog!

Big News!

Hello everyone! This year has been so crazy. our camp was shutdown because of the old new camp regulations. Shiloh Bible camp was the only camp completely open this summer. all through out the summer we had drones videoing us, cars stopping to take pictures and people calling us in. all of which was illegal but they did not get in trouble, we did. We had one week left when we were told we had to close down camp. we had to send over 60+ campers home because of it. Afterwards, we were told that because we are in Pacific county we could still have camp.

Friday, during our first week of camp, which was high school camp, my puppy was ran over and died an hour later. I did not find out until a couple hours later. Later that night we were playing a night game and a small truck hit my best friends horse. The truck just sped off and didn't come back the next day to complain that his truck was ruined. The horse survived but got a few cuts on her legs and a big gash on her shoulder. she is healing nicely and will be able to be ridden again in a couple months. We were clearly under a spiritual attack, and I do believe we won this one. God is so good and gracious.

My horse Ruby is 29 years old and has arteritis in her back, and hind legs, she foundered, and has slowly been losing weight through the summer. she has gotten to the point where she looks like a bag of bones. her food wasn't sticking to her body because it stopped digesting the way it was meant to, so we have to put her down today. I would really appreciate your prayers. she was an amazing horse. She was so sweet and patient with me, I don't know what I would have done without her.

I decided that I will be deleting this blog and starting a new one. I will post the new link on here before I delete it so then it will be easier to find. Thank you all who have dealt with my inconsistency and weirdness for the past year and a half.

Leibster Award

I was tagged by Lexah in the Leibster award.
Thank you Lexah!

 So here are the rules:
1. Thank the person that nominated you
2. Display your award
3. answer the questions you were asked
4. nominate five bloggers
5. ask six new questions

I'm gonna pull a Lexah and skip the second rule....

let's get started, shall we?

WOULD YOU RATHER BE 3 OR 8 FT TALL?
Three feet definitely, i say it's better to be short rather than tall. And i should know because I am short :}

WHAT IS YOU MOST FAVORITE THING TO DO EVER?
Read. listen to books. play minecraft with my friends. ride my horse on a sunny day.... I DON'T HAVE JUST ONE FAVORITE!!

WOULD YOU SKYDIVE IF YOU HAD THE CHANCE TO DO IT RIGHT THIS MINUTE,IF ALL THE EXPENSES WERE TAKEN CARE OF, AND EVERYTHING FOR YOU,  AND YOUR BEST FRIEND WAS GOING ALONG?
Nope. No way would i ever skydive. unless of course it was either that or die.

WHAT IS A RANDOM/WEIRD THING ABOUT YOU?
My biological Dad is African and Jamaican, but i'm not dark skinned. The only hint you have that i'm not all white is my super curly hair.

WOULD YOU RATHER LOSE ALL YOUR TEETH, OR ALL YOUR HAIR?
All my hair, i love both very much, but i'd rather have teeth than hair.

WHAT'S THE MOST EXCITING THING YOU HAVE EVER DONE?
Probably going to ChurchHill downs, which is a horse race track in Kentucky that hosts the Kentucky derby, which is the second race in the Triple Crown.

My questions:
1. If you could live in any state which one would it be?

2. What was your favorite childhood TV show/movie?

3. What is the grossest food you have ever eaten?

4. Where do you fall in line, in the line of siblings?

5. If you could choose three books (or series)  you could get in paperback right now what would they be?

6. whats your favorite season, and why?

I NOMINATE:

It’s almost June y’all.

Pacific County, Washington is officially in phase two!! For those of you who don’t know what that means, we can now gather in groups of five once a week, and we can go to beaches and I believe state parks as well! I’m so excited! I got to see my friends face to face!
Sadly camp is canceled, the first three weeks anyways.

What do I do while in quarantine? Well, I do a lot of reading.....like lots. I help build our house, and train the Puppy. Nothing super exciting but I get to read much more so that’s a plus. I also started an instagram account! https://instagr.am/kalia_wilder
I’m going to do running start this coming school year, but the problem is I still haven’t decided what classes I wanna take 😬. So I need to get one that. That’s one thing that is really nice about quarantine, I have lots of time to plan for running start and college.

I would like to remind everyone that God is in control. We must have faith that he has this whole thing under control and he has a plan. I know it can be hard to always be living actively in the faith, but as Christians thats exactly what one of things we are called to do. We should be walking by faith, not by sight. Trust me, I know that sometimes it can be challenging to give everything to him, I’m struggling with it myself. But if we proclaim to be Christians, and aren’t living like one what kind of example are we setting?
Faith is what our belief stands in. I don’t mean that faith is all that our belief is, but if we don’t have faith in God then I don’t think we are truly believing in him. Satan believes and knows that God is God, but he doesn’t have faith in him. Faith is such an important factor of being a strong Christian. We must have faith that God has a plan. We must have faith that God knows what’s happening and will use it for good. We must have faith that this was not all for nothing. We must have faith that God will take of us, even in the deepest darkest times. We must have faith. Matthew 21:21, Romans 8:28, Hebrews 12:2
